With more than 25 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, and strategic relationship development, Ruth has guided over 250 individuals, families, and organizations in aligning their giving with their values, facilitating more than $50 million in charitable gifts and grants to nonprofits in Vermont and beyond.
A Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®), Ruth specializes in helping clients discover purpose and joy through intentional philanthropy.
Prior to joining SilverLake, Ruth served as a Senior Philanthropic Advisor at the Vermont Community Foundation, Director of Major Gifts at the UVM Foundation, and held multiple leadership roles in alumni relations and advancement at the University of Vermont, Middlebury College, and Fletcher Allen Health Care. Currently, she also serves as Director of Business Development for PC Construction, leading strategic growth and industry outreach across the Vermont and New York regions.
Ruth brings a unique blend of nonprofit, institutional, and corporate experience to SilverLake’s philanthropic advisory team. Originally from CT, Ruth chose to live and raise her daughter in Burlington. When not in the office, you can find her walking in the woods with her goldendoodle or cheering on the UVM Catamounts or SBHS Wolves.
